PORTLAND — Clark College continued its strong early-season form Tuesday night, rolling past Pacific JV 94–67 in a neutral-site matchup at Portland Community College. The Penguins dominated the glass, controlled the paint, and rode a career night from sophomore forward Tristan Pratt, improving to 4–1 on the season.
Pratt was unstoppable throughout the evening, posting 34 points and 11 rebounds on an efficient 15-of-26 shooting performance. The 6-foot-7 forward exploded in the second half, scoring 25 of his points after halftime and helping Clark stretch the lead to as many as 31.
While Pratt provided the star power, Clark's victory was built on depth and balance. The Penguins out rebounded Pacific JV 54–27, including a commanding 15–4 edge on the offensive boards that fueled 21 second-chance points.
Sophomore guard Micah Gentry added 15 points, knocking down three three-pointers and going 4-for-5 at the free-throw line. Freshman guard Ari Richardson continued his efficient shooting with 13 points in just 16 minutes, hitting two threes and converting 5-of-6 from the stripe.
Clark's defensive intensity also shined early, helping the Penguins break open the game with a 51-point first half. The bench contributed 26 points, highlighted by Zion Milare's 7 points and 5 rebounds, while Marcell Roberts controlled the interior with 10 rebounds off the bench.
Pacific JV was led by Jay Nealy's 19 points, with Eli Shibuya adding 15, but the Boxers struggled to keep pace with Clark's physicality and tempo. Pacific shot just 32.5% from the field and surrendered 30 points in the paint.
Clark's strong free-throw shooting (24-for-31, 77%) and ability to limit fouls (only 12 team fouls) helped seal the decisive win.
With the offense humming and its frontcourt asserting dominance, Clark heads into the remainder of the preseason with momentum and growing confidence.
