Women's Basketball Storms over Southwestern Oregon in Final Home Game of the Season

Vancouver, WA - In their final home game of the season, Clark showcased their dominance over Southwestern Oregon with a convincing 66-53 victory. The game, held in Vancouver, WA, saw Clark control the tempo and build a lead early on that they maintained throughout the contest.

From the tip-off, the penguins showed their intent, with Neriah Efferson leading the charge. Efferson's impressive performance, tallying 26 points, showcased her versatility and determination on the court. She consistently found ways to penetrate Southwestern Oregon's defense, creating scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Dejah Wilson and Ashlyn Parduhn provided vital support for Efferson, contributing 15 and 13 points, respectively. Wilson's sharpshooting from beyond the arc, including a crucial three-pointer in the second quarter, kept Southwestern Oregon's defense honest. Parduhn's presence in the paint disrupted Southwestern Oregon's interior defense, as she capitalized on scoring chances and drew fouls.

Despite a resilient effort from Southwestern Oregon, led by Jaci Powers and Skylar Willey, they struggled to contain Clark's offensive firepower. Powers and Willey combined for 17 points but faced tough defensive pressure from Clark throughout the game.

Raegan Bruner's three-point shooting provided glimpses of hope for Southwestern Oregon, but Clark's stifling defense limited their scoring opportunities. Southwestern Oregon fought hard until the final buzzer, but Clark's consistency and composure ultimately secured the victory.

With this win, Clark improves their record to 6-22, while Southwestern Oregon falls to 5-20 for the season. As the regular season winds down, both teams will look to build on this performance as they prepare for upcoming challenges.

Next up the penguins travel to Albany, Oregon to take on Linn-Benton Monday, February 26th, in a game that was postponed from earlier in the season.
