Clark Dominates Clackamas in 10-0 Shutout Victory in game 3 of their 4 game series

Vancouver, WA - In a commanding display of offensive prowess and pitching excellence, the Clark baseball team secured a resounding 10-0 victory over Clackamas on Monday afternoon.

From the very first inning, Clark set the tone for the game. Evan McGuire led the charge with a single, swiftly followed by Isaiah Capetillo reaching base on an error. A sacrifice bunt and a groundout later, McGuire crossed the plate, putting Clark ahead by one.

The second inning saw Jewell Williams ignite the scoreboard with a powerful solo home run, extending Clark's lead to 2-0.

However, it was the third inning where Clark truly stamped their authority on the game. They capitalized on errors and passed balls, tallying five runs to pull ahead 7-0. Williams once again played a pivotal role with a double, bringing home two runs.

Clark's pitchers also delivered a stellar performance, keeping Clackamas' offense at bay throughout the game. Braedeb Getch started strong, allowing just one hit over five innings while striking out seven. McGuire relieved him for the final two innings, maintaining the shutout and striking out five of his own.

Offensively, the penguin's lineup showed depth and resilience. Jewell Williams, the standout performer of the day, not only showcased his power with a home run but also displayed finesse with a double and a single, driving in a total of three runs. Riley Fender also contributed significantly with a late-game two-run homer in the seventh inning.

Defensively, Clark remained solid, committing only one error compared to Clackamas' three, a testament to their focus and determination.

Despite Clackamas' efforts, including a pitching change in the fourth inning, they struggled to find their rhythm offensively, ultimately succumbing to Clark's dominant performance.

With this victory, Clark improves to 1-2 in the season, while Clackamas falls to 2-1. Clark will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season, buoyed by this impressive display of teamwork and skill.
