VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College came out strong in the second half, cruising to a 76-58 win over Spokane in a decisive home matchup. With a balanced offensive attack and dominant rebounding performance, Clark held the visiting team to just 32.4% shooting from the field and took control after a close first half.
Clark had five players finish with double-digit points, showcasing their depth and offensive variety. Leading the charge was Emily Peabody, who put up a game-high 18 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including several key mid-range jumpers that helped maintain momentum. The senior guard also contributed with two rebounds and a pair of steals in 28 minutes of action.
Jayda Jackson was another key contributor, finishing with 14 points, going 6-of-9 from the field. Jackson added four rebounds, three steals, and three assists, providing both scoring and defensive pressure. Mia Hicks-Oliver also had an impressive outing, scoring 11 points with five rebounds, while Payton Allen contributed 8 points and seven assists, helping to orchestrate Clark's offense.
Clark's bench also played a significant role in the victory, particularly Eliana Fleming, who added 11 points and six rebounds in 22 minutes of play. Ella Botnar, another valuable reserve, provided 11 points and eight rebounds in 19 minutes, ensuring Clark maintained its lead throughout the contest.
Though Clark struggled from beyond the arc (5-19, 26.3%), they managed to shoot 44% from the field overall, and their 31 total rebounds (8 offensive) helped them control the game.
Clark's defense was key to the victory, as they forced Spokane into 8 turnovers and held them to just 46.2% from the free-throw line (6-13). Additionally, Clark's rebounding dominance, particularly on the offensive glass, helped limit Spokane's second-chance opportunities and gave Clark more chances to extend their lead.
