VANCOUVER, Wash. - Both teams were strong on the mound Saturday, but Clark defeated the Centralia 3-1.
Dylan Waite allowed just three hits to the trailblazers.
Clark got things started in the first inning when
Taydem Neal singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Waite led things off on the pitcher's mound for Clark College. He lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three and walking one.
Bauer was on the pitcher's mound for Centralia. The pitcher went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out five. Melzer threw one inning in relief.

Josh Schleichardt, and Neal each collected hits for the penguins .
