Riley Helmick

Riley Helmick was hired as the Assistant Athletic Director at Clark College in July of 2026. As an Ontario, Oregon native, she graduated from Ontario High School in 2015, then attended Treasure Valley Community College where she earned her AA Oregon Transfer degree and was a member of the women’s basketball team. During her time in the program, she broke the record for most made 3-point field goals in a single season and in a career.

After graduating from TVCC, Helmick attended Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota. She was a member of the women’s basketball team and the women’s golf team while at DSU, and she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2019, where she graduated cum laude. As a member of the golf team, she helped them earn a 2nd place finish at the North Star Spring Conference Golf Tournament in Bellevue, Nebraska. At the tournament, she placed 5th individually. After graduating with her bachelor's degree, Helmick then earned her Master of Arts in Teaching: Athletic Educational Leadership degree from DSU in 2022.

Helmick worked at Treasure Valley Community College as Head Women’s Basketball Coach beginning spring of 2020, and then joined the department full time as the Athletic Coordinator in August of 2021. In her 5th year as head coach, the women’s basketball team had an overall record of 21 wins and 7 losses, which is the most wins in TVCC Women’s Basketball program history. In her seven years coaching the Chukars, TVCC made three trips to the NWAC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The program has gone to the tournament a total of five times: two of those years Helmick was a player, and three of the years Helmick served as head coach.

Outside of the office, Helmick enjoys hiking, camping, golfing, and watching sports. She has three dogs, Harley, Brooks, and Moose.
