Favorite Athlete: Colby Gilbert.

Favorite Sport memory: Well I ran a marathon once. But that wasn’t fun, so I’d have to say the State Cross Country meet my senior year.
 
What brought you to Clark? It’s relatively inexpensive, and I get to spend two more years enjoying my mother’s wonderful cooking if I go here.
 
Sport past:  (Track) ran 4:09.99 1500m at Lane Titan Twilight Invitational. Finished 2^nd  at the NWAC Southern Region meet in the 5k with a time of 15:22.73 to have the fastest time for a penguin that season. Finished 7^th at the NWAC Championships with a time of 15:50.71.
 
                    (Cross) ran a personal best of 27:00 at the Mike Hodges Invite, finishing 19^th overall and 4^th on team. At the NWAC Championships again finished 4^th on team, 36^th overall in 27:10.
 
High school highlights?  Ran cross four years; competed at State twice. Ran 5k best of 16:53.2 at State of his Senior year. Swam four years, and made the all-league team for 100m butterfly. Ran track four years; Senior season first team all-league in 800m, 1600m, and 3200m. Earned 12 varsity letters. Was prom king and Mr. Columbia River. Graduated in top 5% of class with 3.98 GPA.

Favorite thing about your sport: While racing is fun, I also really enjoy the countless miles of simple training, but that’s not to say I don’t enjoy some good mile-repeats either.

Plans after Clark? University of Washington in Seattle for Material Science or Chemical Engineering.
