The 1956 Penguins baseball squad won the 1956 WSJCAC title, sweeping Yakima in the best of three series, 3-1 and 2-1.  Clark finished the season 11-0 in the Southern Division and 14-0 overall.  Terry Burke and Joe Johnson led the team that year, hitting .491 and .402 respectively.  In the first championship game, Johnson had a run and a RBI.  In the second game, John Aldridge had a home run in the third inning and was also named the winning pitcher.
