Austin Bragg has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Western Washington University, as announced by Viking head coach Brad Jackson. Bragg averaged 15.0 points and 10.2 rebound for Clark last season, and helped the Penguins to a 25-4 record.
Bragg was named to the NWAACC West All-Star and All-Defensive teams after a stellar sophomore season. He also averaged 1.5 blocks, had 13 double-doubles (points and rebounds), scored a career high 37 points against Olympic Community College, and tallied a career high 21 rebounds against Yakima Valley. He shot 55.4 percent (169-of-305) from the field, 33.3 percent (16-of-48) from three point range, and 70.1 percent (82-of-117) at the free throw line.
After red shirting the 2009-10 season at Washington State University, Bragg averaged 12.9 points and 7.8 rebounds at Clark in 2010-2011.
Bragg earned First Team Daily News All-Area and All-League picks after his senior season at Mark Morris High School in Longview, WA. He led the Monarchs to the Greater St. Helens 2A League Championships.
Western Washington University graduated three starters from a team that won the NCAA Division II championship, the first national title in the 110-year history of the program, and finished with a new school record of 31-5.
